Mackai Tapleshay

Mackai Tapleshay, a recent graduate from Santa Clara University with a degree in Environmental Sciences, has spent her education researching and looking at the science behind Earth's environmental problems. It is her goal to find the solutions.  By the age of 21 she studied and lived in the British West Indies where she did field research on the effects of Global Climate Change on coral reef communities as well as in Argentina where her main focus was on how encroaching human development threatens the conservation status of the region's endangered species.  With this project she is hoping to paint a more Earth-friendly future by linking the experts with everyday people and the environmental problems with their sustainable solutions.
